Twedell was Director of Amalgamated Meat Cutters and Butcher Workmen of North America, District 5, Dallas, Texas, and also the youngest International Vice-President elected to the Amalgamated Meat Cutters and Butcher Workmen of North America’s Executive Board. He succeeded his father, Samuel A. Twedell, as director in July, 1968.
